DescriptionHave you ever wished that you could control what someone's Caller-ID shows when you call? Well now you can! The new Caller-ID Controller allows you to set the number that will appear on the Caller-ID of the party you call. Until now this has been presumed to be impossible to do, but not any more! Extensive useful applications for law enforcement, investigators, skip tracers, etc. Just imagine all the possibilities... Also for just regular folks who prefer to maintain their privacy, even when calling numbers that don't accept "blocked" calls.
IS IT SIMPLE TO USE?
Yes! No computer or any special equipment is required. It's designed to work just like a prepaid calling card. You just call the toll-free access number from any phone. You'll be prompted to enter your PIN number, the number you want to be displayed on their Caller-ID, and the number to be called.
CAN IT DEFEAT "ANONYMOUS CALL REJECT," *69 LAST CALL RETURN, AND *57 CALL TRACE?
Yes.
ARE THERE SOME NUMBERS IT WON'T WORK ON?
It is designed to not work on calls to 911 and toll-free numbers. Also it will not work on international calls, except to Canada.
WILL THE NAME ALSO SHOW ON THEIR CALLER-ID, OR JUST THE NUMBER?
In some cases, both. Even though you specify only the number, it will automatically check the phone book listings, and if it can match the number you instructed it to display with a listed number, then it will often also display the name associated with that number. Cell phone Caller-IDs typically only accept numbers and no names, but then they match that number against the cell phone's own internal phone directory, and display the name that the user programmed for that number (for example "Mom" will show along with the number on their Caller-ID).
ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT?
Telemarketers and debt collectors are prohibited by federal law from falsifying or hiding the telephone number from which they are calling. By ordering this product, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes. Caller-ID Controller also offers the option to digitally record a conversation. However, depending on the state that the call is made from and to, it may be a violation of state laws to record a telephone conversation without informing the other party.
