Cablz Eyewear Retention

Fortunately, there’s now an alternative. Not to be confused with Croakies, Chums or other products, the Cablz Eyewear Retention System is the next generation of eyewear retention.
Made of surgical grade steel cable, industrial strength rubber and other quality components, Cablz are
designed to handle hard work and active lifestyles.
Necessity sparked invention for Ron Williams, an avid outdoorsman and inventor of Cablz Eyewear. Williams, who has sold medical devices for more than two decades, was in a hurry and leaving a hospital parking deck one morning. When he turned his head to check for oncoming traffic, his fabric eyeglass holder snagged, knocking his sunglasses across his face. Frustrated, Ron snatched off his sunglasses, retainer and all, and tossed them to his floorboard. They landed in a duffle bag next to a surgical steel cable used to repair complex fractures, and Ron got a bright idea.
When he got home, Ron took the Cable and some duct tape and fashioned the first Cablz prototype. He took some ribbing when he wore it to the office, but co-workers liked the idea. When he replaced the duct tape with rubber, friends and colleagues began requesting Cablz for themselves.
I met Ron at the Shot Show in March 2009 and bought a 14" Cablz on the spot. I took his info and said I wanted to sell these. I finally got around to getting them on the site.
So as you can see from the top picture of me, I am not just selling them, I am a customer :-)
I want to make a few points about Cablz.
1st thing is the Cablz are all black now. In most pictures they are shown in silver.
2nd thing is you need one per set of glasses. If you try to use them on mutable glasses the rubber ends will wear out.
3rd thing You need to know is when installing them you want to use some alcohol based hand cleaner to slip them on.

Love these things. No more nasty strings around the neck. These are not only functionable, but they look manly too.
But not too manly, even the wife likes them:-)
