Author: Mark A Kubotan is a must have self defense weapon, but not the Ninja Keychain. Even though the design seems cool, it's awkward to hold due to the sticks pointing on the side as well as its offensive weapon look at first glance, something that concerns me since it would bring unwanted attention. I improved mine by cutting off the sticks and glued a golf club grip to give me some grip to hold onto. The reason why I still kept this was because of the overall shape design with the front having a dull point, unlike other kubotans where it would be flat. After improvising its perfect for me but I wouldn't recommend this kubotan due to it’s a weapon look and awkward handling out-of-the-box. 2 stars out of 5.

Author: M Scr Unable to see how to position any of the kubatons in your hand. Close up of the hand holding different style kubatons would be a big asset.

Author: blkFreegan Bought one of these years ago .With it in your hand ,one can feel that it can do Major damage . But it is uncomfortable to hold and can easily puncture the user while carrying. Improvements would be an oval ergo grip so it doesn't roll in the hands, shorter blunter prongs so you can carry it in your pockets without risk of self injury . Peace

Author: sthomper a good non-electric, non-firearm close quarters protection device.
hold it as you would brass knuckes approaching your vehicle.
three attack ways...the point extending below the pinky for a hammer like blow, the two prongs extending beyond the middle finger for a punch and using as a key-whip if necessary.
wrap with gauze tape for additional grip.
lightweight and durable.

Author: LNichols A friend introduced me to the kubaton. I plan on ordering several for friends and myself. I walk my dogs and this is a nonbattery, nonoffensive looking self protection device for both me and my dogs.
