I purchased one of these for my mom from another site (paid more for it to). These are one of the best personal defense ideas I've seen in years.

The curved back fits naturally in your closed fist, making this a highly effective weapon.

carful, these things are illegal in many states.

In what states are they not legal? I've researched this and to this point can find nothing specific unless you "intend" to use it as a weapon. It's just a keychain.

I've purchased a number which I give to female friends. The finger holes are too small for the average man. Fortunately, nobody I've given them to has had to go live with one, but they appear to be quite effective, and training hitting a cardboard box is just about right in terms of getting the feel of hitting something without jarring the hand too badly.
