Side handle batons have been around for many years. Although ASP Expandables have replaced them in many jurisdictions, they are still very popular. This new model we have is one of the best we have seen. It has a checkered-rubber grip molded into the plastic. This gives you a secure grip when you are using the short end as a handle. This model also has a larger stop made onto the top of the side handle grip. The redesigining of this hard plastic unit has brough about some major improvements, because most side handle batons look like our aluminum model shown below.

The
other unit we offer is the 1311 series baton is made of aircraft grade
aluminum tubing that will not bend, warp or break even when exposed to
extreme hot or cold temperatures. The finish is black anodize providing
a durable high quality finish that is corrosion and abrasion resistant.
The aluminum tubing is filled with wood dowel to protect the users hand
from impact vibration and shock.
The short end of this batons is also used as a second handle. Rubber sleeves
are available to improve grip.
