An important message from the president of J & L:
Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting our site. After more than 10 years of online retailing with our original shopping system, we have finally completed our "New" modern database shopping site. As of Mid-April 2008, we have offically turned off shopping capabilities on these static pages. All side navigation buttons will lead you to the proper catagory in the new system. All product pages have buttons that link to the same item in the new system where you will have a more pleasurable shopping experience with advance searching and more organization. To move right into the system click here. I welcome you to email your comments and suggestions about the new site to New-site@jlusa.com. I hope you enjoy your safe and secure shopping experience. - Irv Miller
We
never sold the automatic baton (Tokusho Keibo) in the past because
it had a finger guard on it that made it appeared as if it were
geared towards martial arts. Shown in the first picture on the left
is what the baton looks like when you get it. It is a nice quality
baton, but the guard was an issue for us. We finally messed with
it a little and figured out how to make it easy for our customers
to remove the guard. Shown at the bottom of the page are detailed
instructions how to remove the finger guard. The top picture on
the right shows the unit with the guard removed. Most of the pictures
on this page show the baton with the guard removed. YOU
CAN CLICK ON MOST PICTURES TO ENLARGE THEM FOR A BETTER VIEW.
This is a "Push button baton". When the safety is moved
forward and the actuator pressed, the baton expands hard and fast
and locks into place.
This unit IS HARD TO CLOSE. We have instructions on this page how
to close it.
NEVER
OPEN THIS UNIT TOWARDS A PERSONS FACE OR HEAD. ALWAYS POINT THE
BATON AWAY FROM EVERYTHING BEFORE OPENING.
The PAB is a nice quality unit that includes a quality leather case
that holds the closed baton in securely.

HOW TO CLOSE THE BATON
HOW TO REMOVE THE FINGER
GUARD
STEP 1
Use a Phillips screwdriver and remove the screw from the
finger guard.
STEP 2
Use a thin weighted item like channel locks to strike the
finger guard like shown.
STEP 3
Rotate the unit and strike the other side. Go back and forth
until the guard starts to slide off.
STEP 4
It will take several strikes rotating from one side to the
