ASP Leverloc Baton
DescriptionASP has developed a new product called a LEVERLOC Baton. It is incredibly strong, easily carried and rapidly deploys. This baton also features a new twist for retraction. The baton features four heat treated levers to assure extension and four internal lugs to provide a positive lockout. Eccentric retention grooves allow opposing locking lugs to cam free. The baton is closed with a simple twist. Made out of 4140 steel the baton features a foamed vinyl grip and is compatible with all existing Tactical Baton® caps and accessories as well as all Tactical Baton scabbards.

This baton is perfect. It is light weight and compact, as expected. As well as incredibly durable. I purchased a cheaper baton before this one and it broke soon after I received it. So I tested this one out as soon as I got it to be sure it would hold up if I ever needed it for self defense. I could not damage it more than a few nicks and scrapes. The foam handle is also very durable and easy to grip. I can, however, imagine it being difficult to clean if it ever became dirty. Like most metals, the baton does require a little bit of maintenance, a little grease keeps it in good condition though.

This baton made its way into my collection a while back. It is a great baton, borderlining on indestructible. The first time I had it out I almost could not get it closed again and ended up cracking several cement structures just trying to get it to collapse. After 5 or 6 times worth of extending and collapsing it now operates more smoothly.
