Product Description

With a snap of your wrist this 7 inch steel cylinder extends and turns into a 16 inch spring coil baton with a loaded heavy-duty metal tip. A flick of the wrist causes a whipping effect which builds momentum and gives you a lot of striking power. The unit retracts with a simple twist. Weight is 11 oz. This baton does not include a holster. Handle grip may vary.

    I bought this to carry on dog walks just to have something to protect me and my dog. It is fairly lightweight (compared to the other expandable batons) and stays compressed until you flick it. I like it and will buy another for my husband.

    I bought a very similar product many years ago. It was slightly larger. The handle was too slick - there really wasn't any grip to it. Once extended it was randomly difficult to retract. This one is fantastic. It grips well and retracts with a bump of the palm. I improved the grip with PlastiDip.

    My husband had a slightly longer one he used when he worked for the Sheriff's Dept. With one snap of the wrist, you are armed. The flexible end allows you to hit the criminal w/o causing unnecessary harm........but you WILL get their attention. I took off one-star b/c it is hard to retract. J&L - prompt shipping & excellent customer service.

    We're not talking ASP quality here but they again you're not paying ASP prices either. I like the fact that it's an expanding spring bar not a solid bar. For the price it's a great product and highly recommended. Shipping with J&L was fast, I received all shipping notification in a timely manner would definitely shop here again.
