Introducing the All-New (IK) Impact Knife: Precision. Power. Perfection.
The IK is beyond a knife. Everybody carries a knife, but the IK gives you the daily utility of a knife and the impact of a striking weapon in one compact form.
The IK Impact Knife is the second-generation evolution of a concept that began in my dining room years ago, with the original IEW (Impact Edge Weapon). Co-developed with tactical expert Tom Archambault, the idea behind the Impact Knife was simple yet powerful: a blade that could double as an effective striking tool, similar to a kubotan. From humble beginnings—our first prototype was sculpted out of clay—this knife has evolved through countless revisions and innovations, resulting in a masterpiece of tactical design and craftsmanship.
The original IEW was crafted with the serious self-defense practitioner in mind, featuring strike points on both ends for hammer fist or forward strikes, and an assisted opening mechanism for quick deployment. However, it was a bit larger than ideal for everyday carry. That’s where Tom Archambault’s redesign of the new IK truly shines. He reimagined the knife into a sleeker, more concealable upgrade that retains all the impact power of its predecessor in a more compact form.
Key Points of the IK Impact Knife:
- Optimized for Retention: The IK boasts ergonomically designed finger grooves on both the handle and blade, ensuring maximum grip and control when used for strikes.
- Compact and Concealable: The new design is smaller, lighter, and perfectly sized for discreet pocket carry, without sacrificing functionality.
- Devastating Strike Power: The IK’s strike point delivers hundreds of pounds of force, focused into a tiny area with a hammer fist strike—powerful enough to easily incapacitate even the largest individual.
- Craftsmanship at its Finest: Featuring a durable G10 & carbon fiber handle, the IK is built for strength and longevity. The partially serrated blade is made from 440C steel, known for its superior hardness and corrosion resistance, making it as reliable as it is sharp.
- Effortless Deployment: Unlike spring-assisted knives, the IK utilizes a precision inner bearing that allows the blade to glide open with a simple pull of the grooved finger roll, making it both quick to deploy and legal in most jurisdictions.
- Ambidextrous Pocket Clip: The IK’s clip is designed for versatile, ambidextrous carry, ensuring ease of access for both right and left-handed users.
- Precision Engineering: Every IK is crafted with precision mechanics, ensuring smooth operation and long-lasting performance. Each knife is also serial numbered, giving it a unique identity.
- Perfect for Gifting: Packaged in high-quality, gift-ready packaging, the IK makes an exceptional gift for knife enthusiasts, professionals, or those who appreciate fine craftsmanship.
Thanks to Tom Archambault’s vision and innovation, the new IK is built for those who demand the perfect balance of strength, speed, and retention—whether for utility or self-defense.
